Animal-Assisted Therapy Services at Aspire Counseling

Animal-assisted therapy (AAT) is a therapeutic approach that involves interactions between clients and specially-trained animals, such as dogs, cats, horses, or other species.  Here at Aspire Counseling, we have Ivy, a 6-year-old Goldendoodle (dog).  The primary goal of AAT is to improve the physical emotional, social, and cognitive well-being of clients.  The therapy animal provides comfort, support, and companionship, creating a positive and engaging environment for clients to work on their emotional, physical, and/or social goals.

This service is only offered at our Teays Valley location.
